How to put a ding in the universe

Today I asked myself this question "If I was about to leave the planet, what message would I want to leave behind that personifies the learning of this lifetime?"  My answer ...

"Go boldly where no one has ever gone before. Don't follow the traditional path, but veer onto untravelled routes that take you into new territory. It's there that the wonders of your life come wildly alive for you ... and you discover you are someone far greater than you believed. Isn't that a great purpose for a lifetime? To leave a legendary imprint on the universe that says I was here."

How to put a ding in the universe ...

Steve Jobs reminded us that 'putting a ding in the universe' is a great purpose to live for and I think so too. Not just another ordinary life for me or for most of the people I have the privilege of working with. We are called to leave greatness in our wake, and not just our own greatness, but the greatness of Life showing up in every person, every moment, every being.

When you start to live like THIS IS IT ... this is the moment you were created for, the lifetime where you soar beyond any expectations of you ... then you really start to live, to create, to fashion a world and a universe of awesome proportion for us all to show up into. So what are some great tips for getting yourself in that game?

1. Stop making everything all about you.  Take your focus off the personal and put it onto something greater.

2. Live connected with all of Life. With the awe and wonder of the universe in creation. With the miracles of Nature abounding all around us. With the limitless possibilities that are just waiting to be brought into existence.

3. Play a bigger game. Take your passions, the things you love and are great at, and pop them onto a great big playground of possibility. It's got nothing to do with being ready or having degrees and experience. It's got everything to do with your willingness to play big!

4. Think and create beyond the known. Never live with how things are and have been -- set yourself the task of making it up brand new every single moment of every single day. It's more fun than you can possibly imagine!
